LiveThe Slack connector for Muse
Team channels you can question instead of scroll.
The Slack connector lets Muse read channels, list users, and draft messages. Catch up on a channel you muted, find the decision buried in a thread, or draft a status update from your notes — without opening Slack.
Sending stays behind your approval. Muse can read and draft freely, but every posted message is one you reviewed first.
What Muse can do with Slack
- Read channel history and thread replies
- Summarize what happened in a channel while you were away
- Find decisions, links, and files shared in conversations
- Draft messages and announcements for your approval
- List workspace users and channel members
Try asking
- “Summarize what happened in #product this week.”
- “Find the thread where we decided on the launch date.”
- “Draft a status update for #general based on my notes.”
Safety notes
- Muse cannot post messages without your explicit approval.
- It only reads channels your Slack account can access.
How to connect Slack
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your Slack account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
Can Muse read direct messages?
It can read conversations your account has access to. If you’d rather keep DMs out of reach, most teams scope usage to channels.
Will it notify anyone that it’s reading?
No. Reading is silent — Muse doesn’t mark anything read or trigger typing indicators.
