The Gmail connector for Muse

Your inbox, triaged by conversation instead of tabs.

The Gmail connector lets Muse read, search, and draft email inside your inbox. Instead of hunting through threads, you describe what you need — "find the invoice from last Tuesday," "draft a reply to Sarah" — and Muse does the digging.

Nothing ever sends without your explicit approval. Muse can read and draft freely, but every outbound message waits for you to say go, with the exact recipients and text shown first.

Safety notes

  • Muse cannot send email without your explicit approval on the exact message.
  • You can limit the connector to read-only in Muse settings.
  • Disconnect anytime from the Muse app settings; access stops immediately.

How to connect Gmail

Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your Gmail account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.

Questions

How do I connect Gmail to Muse?

Open the Muse app, go to settings, find connectors, and link your Google account. The connection uses Google’s standard OAuth — Muse never sees your password.

Can Muse send email on its own?

No. Sending is an approval-gated action: Muse shows you the exact draft, recipients, and subject, and nothing sends until you approve it.

Does Muse read all my email or just what I ask about?

Muse only reads what your request requires. Ask it to triage today’s mail and it reads today’s mail — it doesn’t go browsing your archive unprompted.
