The UniFi Protect connector for Muse

Your cameras, checked locally — no cloud required.

The UniFi Protect connector lets Muse read your camera system straight from the local console: camera states, snapshots, PTZ adjustments, floodlights, and doorbell chimes. No cloud account in the middle — it talks to your hardware directly.

For privacy-minded setups, that local-only design is the point: "show me the front door" works without footage ever leaving your network.

Safety notes

  • Camera snapshots show your property, be careful who can ask and where images go.
  • The connector reaches your local console; keep your network access secured.
  • This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.

How to connect UniFi Protect

Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your UniFi Protect account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.

Questions

Does footage go through the cloud?

No. The connector talks directly to your local UniFi console, so camera data stays on your network.

Can Muse record or save video?

It reads states and snapshots and adjusts devices. Recording schedules and retention stay in UniFi Protect itself.
