LiveThe SwitchBot connector for Muse
Buttons pressed, curtains drawn, doors locked — by asking.
The SwitchBot connector lets Muse read device status and send commands to your SwitchBot gear: button pressers, smart locks, curtains, plugs, and lights. The quirky little robots around your house become voice-controllable.
It shines for the devices other platforms forget (that button presser on the coffee machine, the curtains that need drawing at sunset), all confirmation-gated where it matters.
What Muse can do with SwitchBot
- Read live status of all paired SwitchBot devices
- Trigger button pressers and toggle plugs
- Lock and unlock SwitchBot locks
- Open and close curtains, control lights
Try asking
- “Press the button on the coffee machine.”
- “Close all the curtains. The sun is brutal today.”
- “Is the front door locked?”
Safety notes
- Lock and curtain commands are confirmation-gated since they affect your home.
- Button pressers trigger real devices — confirm which one before Muse presses.
- This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.
How to connect SwitchBot
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your SwitchBot account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
Does it need the SwitchBot hub?
Cloud-connected devices work through your SwitchBot account. Bluetooth-only setups may need the hub for remote access.
Can Muse automate my SwitchBot devices on a schedule?
The connector handles status and commands on demand. Recurring automations are better built in the SwitchBot app or a dedicated automation tool.
