LiveThe PostHog connector for Muse
Product analytics you can question in plain English.
The PostHog connector lets Muse read your product analytics: users, projects, and saved insights. Instead of building another dashboard query, ask what happened ("did the new onboarding flow move activation?") and get the numbers back.
It’s read-only, which makes it safe to hand to anyone on the team. Product questions get answered from real event data without anyone touching the analytics setup.
What Muse can do with PostHog
- List projects and browse user records
- Pull saved insights and their underlying numbers
- Compare metrics across time periods
- Answer funnel and retention questions from event data
Try asking
- “How did activation change after we shipped the new onboarding last month?”
- “Pull the signup-to-paid conversion for Q3.”
- “Which of my saved insights shows the biggest week-over-week change?”
Safety notes
- Read-only — Muse can’t modify events, insights, or project settings.
- Muse only sees the PostHog projects your API key can access.
- This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.
How to connect PostHog
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your PostHog account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
Can Muse create new PostHog insights or dashboards?
No. The connector reads existing projects, users, and saved insights — creating or changing analytics stays in the PostHog app.
Does it work with self-hosted PostHog?
That depends on the skill’s configuration. Check whether it accepts a custom host URL for your self-hosted instance.
