The Perplexity connector asks questions with citations and searches the web. It’s the research shortcut for "what’s true here, and who says so" — answers come with sources attached, so you can verify.
Use it when a question needs evidence: the study behind the headline, what three outlets actually said, whether a claim holds up.
What Muse can do with Perplexity
- Answer research questions with cited sources

Safety notes
- Muse relays Perplexity’s answers with citations — verify important claims at the source.
- Citations are starting points, not proof; read the original when it matters.
- This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.
How to connect Perplexity
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your Perplexity account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
How is this different from Muse searching the web itself?
Perplexity returns answers with inline citations from its own index, a second research engine with sources attached.
Can I trust the citations?
They point to real sources, but always open the original for anything consequential.
