LiveThe Hubitat connector for Muse
Your Elevation hub, driven by plain language.
The Hubitat connector talks to your Elevation hub through its Maker API: lights, dimmers, deadbolts, garage doors, thermostats, location modes, and the Safety Monitor. Your whole local setup becomes something you can question.
Commands that drive physical hardware are confirmation-gated. Asking "is the garage closed" is free; opening it is not — Muse checks with you first.
What Muse can do with Hubitat
- Read device states: lights, locks, sensors, thermostats
- Operate lights, dimmers, locks, and garage doors with confirmation
- Set location modes like Home, Away, and Night
- Check Safety Monitor arming status
Try asking
- “Is the garage door closed?”
- “Set the house to Away mode.”
- “Is the safety monitor armed right now?”
Safety notes
- All physical-device commands require confirmation.
- Everything stays local through your hub — no cloud round-trip.
- This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.
How to connect Hubitat
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your Hubitat account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
What do I need to set up first?
The Maker API app enabled on your Hubitat Elevation hub, which exposes your devices to the connector. Pairing instructions live in the connector’s skill file.
Can Muse disarm my Safety Monitor?
It can report arming status freely. Changing it is a confirmation-gated action, like any security-sensitive command.
