LiveThe Home Assistant connector for Muse
Every entity in your house, controllable by conversation.
The Home Assistant connector talks to your local instance: it can read the state of every entity — lights, sensors, switches, climate — and call services to change them. "Is anything still on downstairs" gets a real answer.
Service calls ask first. Flipping a switch or running a scene is a physical-world action, so Muse confirms before it acts.
What Muse can do with Home Assistant
- Read live states of lights, sensors, switches, and climate entities
- Turn devices on and off or adjust them, with confirmation
- Trigger scenes and scripts you’ve already built
- Report sensor readings like temperature, humidity, and motion
Try asking
- “Are any lights still on downstairs?”
- “Turn off everything in the bedroom.”
- “What’s the humidity reading in the basement?”
Safety notes
- Every service call requires confirmation before it runs.
- Your Home Assistant stays local, this connector talks to your instance, not a cloud copy.
- This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.
How to connect Home Assistant
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your Home Assistant account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
Does this work when I’m away from home?
It depends on your Home Assistant setup. If you’ve configured remote access for your instance, Muse can reach it; otherwise it works on your local network.
Can Muse create new automations for me?
It can call services and trigger existing scenes and scripts. Building new automations still happens in the Home Assistant UI.
