LiveThe Exa connector for Muse
Neural search that returns sources, not just links.
The Exa connector is neural web search: one call returns ranked sources with snippets, tuned for meaning rather than keywords. When Muse needs to ground a claim or research a topic, Exa finds the pages that actually answer the question.
It is read-only research infrastructure — the difference between "I searched for it" and "I found the three sources that matter."
What Muse can do with Exa
- Run neural searches tuned for semantic relevance
- Get ranked sources with snippets in one call
- Ground Muse’s answers in cited web sources
- Research topics beyond keyword matching
Try asking
- “Find expert sources on the current state of fusion energy.”
- “Search for recent analyses of the used EV market.”
- “What are credible sources saying about GLP-1 drug pricing?”
Safety notes
- Read-only — search changes nothing.
- Muse cites what it finds; verify consequential claims at the source.
- This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.
How to connect Exa
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your Exa account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.

How is this different from regular web search?
Exa ranks by semantic meaning, so it surfaces pages that answer your question even when they don’t share your keywords.
Can it search specific sites?
