LiveThe DEV connector for Muse
Your dev.to presence, readable and writable.
The DEV connector covers the dev.to platform both ways: read your profile and articles, browse anyone’s public posts by username, and create or update articles — defaulting to safe drafts. Developer-writers can manage their publishing without living in the editor UI.
Draft-first is the right default: Muse prepares the post, you review the markdown, and publishing stays a deliberate click.
What Muse can do with DEV
- Read your profile, published posts, and drafts
- Browse public articles by any username
- Create new articles as drafts
- Update existing articles and drafts
Try asking
- “Show me my most-viewed dev.to articles this year.”
- “Draft a post from these notes about debugging race conditions — save as draft.”
- “What has username jess written about Rust lately?”
Safety notes
- New articles default to drafts, nothing publishes without your explicit go-ahead.
- Muse only edits your own content, never anyone else’s.
- This is a community-built connector. Review its permissions before connecting.
How to connect DEV
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your DEV account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
Can Muse publish directly to dev.to?
It drafts by default. Publishing is a separate, explicit step, you review first, always.
Can it update an already-published article?
Yes, with your confirmation on the changes. Handy for keeping tutorials current.
