Meta announced that Muse, its personal AI agent, is now available in Mexico, the fifth market for the product and its first in Latin America. Meta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang announced the launch on X, writing that “muse just touched down in mexico,” and the Muse account posted the same announcement, saying “from la playa to the pyramids, so much for Muse to explore! muse.ai, now in México.” The announcement video shows the Muse character riding a trajinera boat under a colorful “MÉXICO” arch.

Mexico is the first Spanish-speaking market for Muse. The launch follows the United States on September 8, Canada on September 18, Japan on October 23, and Singapore on October 27. Mexico had appeared in Meta’s French- and German-language Connect posts in September, which listed it alongside the United States and Canada, but the company had not made a dedicated launch announcement for the country until now.

What Launches in Mexico

Muse is available in Mexico in Spanish, for users aged 18 and older, on iOS, Android, and the web at muse.ai, and in WhatsApp, according to Mexican tech outlet Geekzilla. Meta plans to add compatibility with its AI glasses. The service has a free version and optional subscription plans.

The launch brings local connectors for services Mexican users already use: Cinépolis, Coppel, Despegar, Kavak, Kueski, Liverpool, and Rappi. The connectors cover entertainment, shopping, travel, financial services, cars, and food delivery, and they will become available gradually, so some will arrive after the initial launch. Muse also connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, and Instagram in Mexico.

Why It Matters

In each new market so far, Meta has launched with local services connected from the start. In Japan, the launch named Mercari, Money Forward ME, and Pia; in Singapore, it named Shopee, Lazada, Grab, ShopBack, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, Klook, and Trip.com. The Mexico list follows the same approach, with retailers, a cinema chain, a travel agency, a used-car platform, a lender, and a delivery app.

Mexico was also the first country in Latin America to receive Meta’s AI glasses, which went on sale there in September. The glasses already run a Muse-powered assistant, so the full agent now arrives in a market where Meta’s hardware is already established.

The launch came on the same day Meta rolled out Muse Voice to everyone in the US, the real-time voice and video-chat feature for the agent. That feature is US-only for now, with support for AI glasses and the upcoming Muse Charm device to follow.

What’s Next

Meta has announced no dates for the United Kingdom, the European Union, or the rest of Latin America, and its help center says only that the service is not yet available everywhere.
