LiveThe Google Docs connector for Muse
Drafts, edits, and summaries without opening the doc.
The Google Docs connector lets Muse read, summarize, and draft documents in your Drive. Hand it a rough outline and get back a structured draft; hand it a 20-page doc and get the three paragraphs that matter.
It pairs well with Gmail and Calendar: the meeting invite, the pre-read doc, and the follow-up draft all handled in one conversation.
What Muse can do with Google Docs
- Read and summarize documents of any length
- Draft new docs from outlines, notes, or briefs
- Suggest edits and restructure existing drafts
- Pull key figures and quotes from long reports
Try asking
- “Summarize the Q3 board deck into five bullet points.”
- “Turn these meeting notes into a one-page brief.”
- “Draft a project proposal from the outline in my notes doc.”
Safety notes
- Creating or overwriting documents asks for confirmation.
- Muse can’t change sharing permissions on your docs.
How to connect Google Docs
Open the Muse app, go to settings, and find connectors. Link your Google Docs account with the standard sign-in — Muse never sees your password. Once linked, the connector is available across your conversations. You can scope it to read-only or disconnect it entirely at any time from the same screen.
Questions
Can Muse edit a doc I’m actively working in?
It can suggest edits and apply them with your approval, but it won’t silently rewrite a document you have open.
